Studio Installation
Studio is the visual designer used to build workflows. It ships in a combined installer with the Runner. You can install Studio only, Runner only, or both on the same machine.
Requirements
- Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit)
- 2 CPU cores minimum (4 recommended)
- 4 GB RAM minimum (8 GB recommended)
- 2 GB free disk space
- Network access to the Hub over HTTPS
Installation
Download the installer
Download Exekra Setup.exe from the Customer Portal (Downloads page) or from the Hub dashboard.
Choose components
Run the installer. On the Choose Components page, tick Exekra Studio. Both Studio and Runner are checked by default; uncheck Runner if this machine will only be used for authoring.
Choose an install directory
Accept the default (C:\Program Files\Exekra) or change it. Studio installs to a Studio\ subdirectory under whichever root you choose.
Launch Studio
Open Studio from the Start Menu or the desktop shortcut the installer creates.
First launch
The first time Studio runs it asks for the Hub URL and your credentials. Enter the HTTPS URL of your Hub (for example https://hub.example.local:8443) and sign in with the Developer account you were issued.
Studio caches the Hub URL after first sign-in and reconnects automatically the next time you open the app.
After installation
- For element selection on web automation activities, install the Browser extension on the same machine.
